Donovan Murphy is an American history scholar and researcher whose fascination with folklore, legends, and the unexplained began at an extraordinarily young age.
The son of renowned paranormal researcher and author Ronald L. Murphy Jr., Donovan was accompanying his father on investigations and explorations across the country before he could walk. Now an historian himself, Donovan is devoted to the study of history’s darker corners—the forgotten legends, whispered ghost stories, ancient superstitions, and strange traditions that linger long after the people who created them have been forgotten.
With a fascination for folklore, haunted history, and the mysteries concealed within old towns and older stories, Donovan approaches the past not simply as a collection of dates and names, but as something alive in the memories of those who came before us. His research explores the boundary between history and legend: the stories passed down through generations, the places surrounded by superstition, and the unexplained occurrences that refuse to disappear from local memory.
Part historian, part storyteller, and always a student of the unknown, Donovan believes that every old building has a story, every forgotten road has a secret, and every legend began somewhere.
